Key Responsibilities
- Operate heavy vehicles assigned by the University.
- Ensure the safe transportation of staff, students, equipment, and materials.
- Maintain vehicles in good operating condition.
- Follow road safety regulations and University transport policies.
- Keep accurate vehicle and trip records.
- Perform duties assigned by the relevant University authorities.
Qualifications & Requirements
Applicants must possess:
- Passed the G.C.E. Ordinary Level (O/L) Examination in six (06) subjects, with at least two (02) Credit passes, in not more than two sittings.
AND
- A valid heavy vehicle driving licence issued by the Commissioner General of Motor Traffic.
- Minimum three (03) years of driving experience after obtaining the driving licence.
Age Requirements
Applicants should be:
- Not less than 18 years of age.
- Not more than 45 years of age.
Other Requirements
- Must be a citizen of Sri Lanka.
- Physically and mentally fit to perform the duties of the post and serve anywhere in Sri Lanka if required.
- Possess excellent moral character.
- A recent Police Report must be submitted together with the application.
Salary & Benefits
Salary Scale:
U-PL 3 (III): Rs. 48,005 – 16 × 490 – 55,845 per month
In addition to the basic salary, selected candidates will receive:
- Cost of Living Allowance.
- Other approved government allowances.
- Government employment benefits.
- Stable career within a leading state university.
Selection Process
Selection will be based on:
- Trade Test.
- Structured Interview.
