The Sri Lanka German Training Institute (SLGTI) – Kilinochchi Branch is recruiting for the position of Driver (PL 3) on a permanent basis.

Qualifications & Requirements

Applicants can qualify under the following categories:

External Candidates

• Education: Must have sat for the G.C.E. (O/L) examination and passed a minimum of 02 subjects.

• License: Must possess a valid driving license issued by the Commissioner General of the Department of Motor Traffic to drive heavy vehicles.

• Experience: A minimum of 03 years of experience in driving after obtaining the heavy vehicle driving license.

Internal Candidates

• Service: Completion of a minimum of 05 years of satisfactory service in a post in the category of Primary Unskilled (PL-1).

• License: Must have obtained the heavy vehicle driving license issued by the Commissioner General of the Department of Motor Traffic.

• Experience: A minimum of 03 years of experience in driving after obtaining the heavy vehicle driving license.

Salary and Benefits

• Salary Scale: According to DMS Circular No. 01/2025: PL 3 – Rs. 43,280 – 490×10 – 540×10 – 590×10 – 630×12 – 67,040/-.

• Current Monthly Pay: As of January 1, 2026, the basic salary is Rs. 40,834.00.

• Allowances: Government-approved allowances will be paid in addition to the salary.

• Retirement: Employee contributes 08% to the provident fund, while the institution contributes 12% plus 03% to the Employees’ Trust Fund.

• Selection Method: Selection will be by a Trade Test and a structured interview.
