Job Overview
The Right to Information Commission of Sri Lanka, established under the Right to Information Act No. 12 of 2016, is inviting applications for the position of Development Officer. This role supports administrative coordination, development activities, data handling, and implementation of institutional programs aimed at strengthening transparency and RTI operations across Sri Lanka.

The Right to Information Commission (RTI Commission) is an independent statutory body established under the Right to Information Act No. 12 of 2016. The Commission ensures transparency, accountability, and public access to information by implementing RTI laws and monitoring compliance across public institutions in Sri Lanka.
Qualifications & Experience
Applicants must be graduates from a university recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC).
Age Limit
- Minimum age: 22 years
- Maximum age: 45 years
- No upper age limit for internal applicants
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in planning and implementing development and administrative activities
- Support project coordination and institutional development initiatives
- Assist in data collection, reporting, and monitoring activities
- Contribute to RTI awareness and public outreach programs
- Support documentation and administrative processes
- Coordinate with internal departments and external stakeholders
- Assist in preparing reports and development-related documentation
Required Skills
- Strong organizational and coordination skills
- Basic understanding of development administration and public sector processes
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage data and prepare reports
- Strong teamwork and time management abilities
- Proficiency in MS Office applications
- Attention to detail and responsibility in administrative work
Salary & Benefits
- Salary Scale: MA 3 – 2025 (Rs. 53,940 – 94,980)
