Job Description

We Are Hiring! Catalan Industries (Pvt) Ltd is looking for a Costing Officer.

Catalan Industries (Pvt) Ltd, a leading manufacturer and distributor of international and domestic fashion & lifestyle brands (specializing in footwear), is seeking a detail-oriented individual to join our team in Matara as a Costing Officer.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Product Costing: Preparing accurate cost sheets for new and existing footwear/apparel products (Pre-costing & Post-costing).

• Material Consumption: Calculating material consumption and analyzing variance against actual usage.

• Pricing Strategies: Assisting management in determining selling prices based on production costs and market trends.

• Cost Analysis: Monitoring manufacturing costs (labor, overheads, materials) and identifying areas for cost reduction.

• Reporting: Generating monthly cost reports, margin analysis, and inventory valuation reports.

• Coordination: Working closely with the Production, Merchandising, and Procurement teams to ensure data accuracy.

Qualifications & Experience

Candidates should meet the following criteria:

• Education: Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Cost Management (CIMA/ICASL part qualified), or Textile/Clothing Technology.

• Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in Costing, preferably in the Footwear or Apparel manufacturing industry.

• Skills:

  • Proficiency in MS Excel (Advanced) and experience with ERP systems.

  • Strong analytical and numerical skills.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
