Job Description
The Community Management Coordinator (CMC) will manage Mission flagship digital properties including social media platforms and website content while developing communication strategies aligned with Mission priorities.
The role involves researching online audience trends, analyzing digital engagement performance, creating communication campaigns, managing online communities, and supporting public diplomacy initiatives through innovative digital content and audience engagement activities.
The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, communication expertise, and extensive knowledge of digital communication and audience engagement strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain Mission flagship digital platforms and social media channels
- Develop and execute digital communication and editorial content strategies
- Research and analyze online audience trends and engagement behaviors
- Create and customize digital content to support Mission objectives
- Organize and host online engagement initiatives and digital campaigns
- Design innovative audience engagement tools and communication strategies
- Provide guidance and training on digital communication standards and policies
- Coordinate with Mission personnel involved in public engagement activities
- Monitor analytics and audience performance metrics
- Support crisis communication and digital diplomacy initiatives
Required Qualifications and Skills
Educational Qualifications
- University Degree in Communications, Business, Marketing, Public Administration, Journalism, or a related field
Work Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience managing digital properties and online public engagement
- Experience in content creation across multimedia and traditional communication formats
Language Requirements
- Fluent reading, writing, and speaking ability in English
- Fluent reading, writing, and speaking ability in Sinhala or Tamil
- Language proficiency will be tested
Technical and Professional Skills
- Strong understanding of digital communication and online community management
- Knowledge of Sri Lankan audience demographics, cultural dynamics, and communication trends
- Experience with social media management, digital marketing, and online advocacy campaigns
- Strong analytical and audience engagement skills
- Ability to identify emerging communication trends and audience behaviors
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and cross-cultural communication abilities
- Experience using digital content tools, analytics platforms, and social media management tools
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and graphic design software
- Knowledge of audience analytics and reporting techniques
Salary and Benefits
