📝 Job Description
The Commercial Assistant – Singer (Sri Lanka) PLC will support day-to-day commercial activities including procurement planning, supplier coordination, logistics management, and data analysis. The selected candidate will gain hands-on experience across multiple commercial functions in a fast-paced manufacturing and retail environment.
🔑 Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly material requirements based on production plans
- Prepare delivery schedules, requests for quotations, and raise purchase orders
- Arrange supplier invoices and coordinate payments
- Monitor and control receiving of raw materials ensuring correct price, quantity, and quality
- Coordinate overseas material ordering and receiving with commercial departments
- Negotiate with suppliers and ensure timely delivery of materials
- Handle customs documentation, duties, and payments in coordination with clearing agents
- Prepare commercial reports and data analysis for management review
🎓 Qualifications
- 1–2 years of experience in a similar commercial or supply chain role
- Fully or part-qualified in Commercial Management / Supply Chain Management or an equivalent qualification
- Advanced computer literacy (MS Excel and related applications)
- Good command of English and Sinhala
