Job Overview

The Colombo South Multi-Purpose Cooperative Society is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Cashier to manage financial transactions and provide excellent customer service within our cooperative outlets.

Key Responsibilities

• Process cash, check, and credit transactions accurately.

• Maintain organized records of daily sales and balances.

• Handle customer inquiries and provide professional service at the point of sale.

• Ensure the security of cash registers and financial documentation.

Candidate Requirements

Applicants must meet one of the following qualification criteria:

• Option 1: Have at least 03 years of permanent service in a 105:10 salary scale position within the Cooperative service.

• Option 2: Minimum of 06 passes in G.C.E. (O/L) in one sitting, including Credit passes for Mathematics and Sinhala language. Previous experience in a recognized financial institution as a Cashier is mandatory.

General Criteria:

• Age: Between 18 and 45 years.

• Residency: Must have been a permanent resident of the Western Province for at least 03 years.

Salary and Benefits

• Salary Scale: 14,974 – 23,024/- (Grade 104:9 III)

• Allowances: * 15% Cost of Living allowance.

  • Specific monthly allowances ranging from Rs. 2,500 to Rs. 10,000 based on government and society circulars.
