Branch Principal – Sri Lanka German Training Institute

The Sri Lanka German Training Institute (SLGTI) – Kilinochchi Branch, under the Ministry of Education, Higher Education and Vocational Education, is seeking applications for the permanent position of Branch Principal (HM 1-3).

Qualifications & Experience

Candidates can apply under either the External or Internal category:

External Candidates

• Education: A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Public Administration, Commerce, Science, or any other degree recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC).

• Postgraduate Qualification: Must possess a Master’s Degree in a relevant field or Associate Membership of a recognized professional chartered institute relevant to the subject area of the post (for Engineering posts, Corporate Membership).

• Experience: A minimum of 15 years of experience at a Managerial Level in a Corporation, Statutory Board/Institution, or a reputed private institution, with at least two (02) years at the Senior Managerial Level.

Internal Candidates

• Must have obtained the external qualifications mentioned above.

• OR Completion of a minimum of two (02) years of satisfactory service in a post in the Deputy Branch Principal category (HM 1-1) in a relevant subject area.

Salary and Benefits

• Salary Scale: According to DMS Circular No. 01/2025: HM 1-3 – Rs. 152,500 – 4,100 x 15 – Rs. 214,000.

• Current Monthly Pay: As of January 1, 2026, the basic salary is Rs. 133,028 (plus government-approved allowances).

• Retirement Fund: Employee contributes 8% to the provident fund, while the institution contributes 12% plus 3% toward the Employees’ Trust Fund.

Key Details

• Age Limit: Between 35 and 55 years (upper limit does not apply to internal candidates).

• Selection Method: Selection is based on the result of a structured interview.

• General Eligibility: Must be a citizen of Sri Lanka, physically and mentally fit, of excellent moral character, and willing to serve in any part of the island.
