Assistant Manager – Credit Job Responsibilities

Job Profile

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

• Evaluating, structuring, and preparing credit proposals for Board approval
• Reviewing and approving credit proposals (Corporate / SME / Retail)
• Supporting credit assessment and risk evaluation processes
• Preparing reports and presentations for Credit Committee reviews
• Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and credit policies
• Assisting in developing and updating credit policies and risk tools
• Supervising staff and ensuring internal customer satisfaction
• Coordinating with branch teams and the Credit Committee to facilitate approvals

Qualifications & Requirements

Candidate Profile

Applicants should:

• Be below 35 years of age
• Possess strong analytical and interpersonal skills
• Be dynamic, results-oriented, and capable of team management
• Have fluency in English and Sinhala

Educational Qualifications

Preferred qualifications include:

• Successful completion of GCE A/L
• Degree or part/full professional qualifications in:
  • CIMA
  • ACCA
  • CIM
  • ACA
  • AAT
  • IBSL

Experience Requirements

Candidates should have:

• Minimum 3 years of executive or managerial experience
• Experience within a licensed commercial bank or finance company
• Exposure to Credit / Credit Services operations
