Assistant Branch Manager – Kalmunai Branch
Job Description
Pan Asia Bank is seeking an experienced banking professional to support branch operations and business growth at its Kalmunai Branch. The selected candidate will oversee operational activities, customer service standards, compliance requirements, and branch-level marketing initiatives while supporting the Branch Manager in achieving branch objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Support overall branch management and operations while ensuring profitability and compliance with operational guidelines.
- Coordinate with Regional Office and Head Office for smooth branch operations.
- Carry out duties assigned by the Branch Manager in their absence.
- Oversee:
- Cash management operations
- Local and foreign currency handling
- ATM operations
- Daily balancing activities
- Ensure compliance with insurance and operational requirements.
- Monitor customer service quality and resolve operational issues professionally.
- Ensure compliance with:
- KYC regulations
- AML requirements
- FIU requirements
- CBSL reporting standards
- Coordinate and support branch-level marketing campaigns to expand the customer base and generate new business opportunities.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Full or part qualification in Banking from the Institute of Bankers of Sri Lanka (IBSL).
- Minimum 8–10 years of experience in commercial banking.
- At least 3–4 years of experience in branch operational functions.
- Strong understanding of:
- Banking policies and procedures
- Operational processes
- Foreign exchange transactions
- Regulatory compliance
- Internal controls
- Strong marketing and sales orientation with sound business acumen.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
