Organization Overview

The Central Provincial Road Development Authority (CPRDA) is a government institution operating under the Central Provincial Council of Sri Lanka.

The authority is responsible for the development, maintenance, rehabilitation and improvement of provincial roads, including Class C and Class D roads, as well as the planning, design and construction of roads and bridges across the Central Province.

The authority operates across the Kandy, Matale and Nuwara Eliya districts.

Qualifications & Experience

1. Deputy General Manager (Finance and Administration)

External Applicants:

• Should possess a degree in a relevant field such as Accountancy, Finance, Business Administration or Commerce from a university recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC).
• Should possess a postgraduate qualification (Master’s Degree) in a relevant field or a relevant professional qualification from a recognised Chartered Professional Institution.
• Should have obtained the required management-level experience in a relevant field at a government institution, government corporation, board, statutory institution or recognised private-sector organisation.

Internal Applicants:

• Should fulfil the qualifications required for external applicants; or
• Should have completed satisfactory service in the relevant Senior Management service category specified in the recruitment notice.

Age Limit:

• Minimum Age: 35 years.
• Maximum Age: 55 years.
• The maximum age limit does not apply to internal applicants.

2. Management Assistant (Non-Technical)

External Applicants:

• Should have passed six subjects in one sitting at the G.C.E. Ordinary Level Examination, with credit passes in four subjects including Sinhala or Tamil, English and Mathematics.
• Should have passed all three subjects in one sitting at the G.C.E. Advanced Level Examination in the Commerce stream, as specified in the recruitment notice.
• Should possess the required computer-related qualification or certificate in word processing proficiency.
• Should fulfil the additional educational requirements specified in the recruitment notice.

Internal Applicants:

• Employees belonging to the relevant permanent service categories of the Authority may apply.
• Applicants should fulfil the educational qualifications and service experience requirements specified in the recruitment notice.

3. Heavy Machine Operator

External Applicants:

• Should possess a Heavy Vehicle Driving Licence issued by the Commissioner General of Motor Traffic.
• Should have obtained NVQ Level 4 or an equivalent recognised technical qualification in Heavy Machinery Operation.
• Should possess the required practical knowledge and skills in operating heavy machinery.

Internal Applicants:

• Should fulfil the technical qualifications and service experience requirements specified for the relevant service category.

Age Limit:

• Minimum Age: 18 years.
• Maximum Age: 45 years.
• Applicable age concessions for internal applicants will be considered according to the recruitment notice.

4. Driver

External Applicants:

• Should fulfil the educational qualifications specified in the recruitment notice at the G.C.E. Ordinary Level Examination.
• Should possess a valid Driving Licence issued by the Commissioner General of Motor Traffic.
• Should have at least three years of experience in driving vehicles after obtaining the relevant driving licence.

Internal Applicants:

• Should fulfil the relevant educational, driving licence and service experience requirements specified in the recruitment notice.

Age Limit:

• Minimum Age: 18 years.
• Maximum Age: 45 years.
• Applicable age concessions for internal applicants will be considered according to the recruitment notice.

5. Injector Pump Operator

External Applicants:

• Should have obtained a recognised Proficiency Certificate in Injector Pump Operation.
• Should possess NVQ Level 2 or an equivalent recognised technical qualification in the relevant field.

Internal Applicants:

• Should fulfil the required technical qualifications and service experience conditions for the relevant Primary Level service category.

Age Limit:

• Minimum Age: 18 years.
• Maximum Age: 45 years.
