Qualifications & Experience

• Passed G.C.E. Advanced Level examination.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in Pawning or Gold Loan operations within a recognized financial institution.
• Practical knowledge of evaluating gold content in gold articles.
• Ability to identify fake and adulterated gold.
• Experience in gold valuation and assessment is essential.
• Knowledge of gold loan and pawning procedures will be highly advantageous.
• Previous experience in a financial services environment is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Market Gold Loan products to potential customers to expand the company’s portfolio.
• Develop and conduct promotional activities to enhance Gold Loan business.
• Negotiate pawning facilities with customers within approved guidelines.
• Participate in marketing campaigns and support the branch or relevant unit in achieving business targets.
• Check gold articles and conduct valuation and assessment of pledged items.
• Evaluate gold content and determine the appropriate value of gold articles.
• Negotiate advances with customers according to established guidelines and approved limits.
• Test gold jewellery using appropriate methods, including densimeter, touchstone, and acid tests.
• Record gold weight and karatage accurately in Gold Valuation Reports.
• Ensure accurate documentation of gold assessments and related transactions.
• Ensure strict adherence to operational processes, policies, and guidelines.
• Process Gold Loan and pawning transactions within approved limits.
• Support the achievement of branch and individual business targets.
