Finance Trainee – Maga Engineering (Pvt) Ltd

Maga Engineering (Pvt) Ltd, one of Sri Lanka’s leading construction companies, is seeking motivated and career-focused individuals to join its Finance Team as Finance Trainees.

This opportunity is suitable for school leavers and entry-level candidates who want to begin a career in finance and gain practical experience in a construction industry environment.

What You’ll Do

• Support daily accounting and finance operations.
• Maintain financial records and accounting documentation.
• Process invoices, payments and petty-cash transactions.
• Prepare reports and analyse data using Microsoft Excel.
• Assist with account reconciliations and month-end activities.
• Coordinate with project sites and Head Office on finance-related matters.

Requirements

• Age between 20 and 25 years.
• Passed G.C.E. A/L – 3 subjects in the Commerce Stream.
• Passed G.C.E. O/L with a minimum B pass in Mathematics and English.
• Following or possessing a Certificate/Diploma in Accounting or a part qualification from a recognized accounting professional body.
• Good computer literacy with sound knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Strong numerical, analytical and communication skills.
• Previous work experience is not required. Internship or relevant finance experience will be an added advantage.
• Willingness to work at any Maga Engineering project site across Sri Lanka.
