Omilco Export (Pvt) Ltd is inviting applications for the position of Quality Assistant. The company is a leading manufacturer of coconut-based food products in Sri Lanka, specializing in high-quality coconut milk, cream, coconut water, and related food products.

Quality Assistant

📍 Location: Kuliyapitiya, Sri Lanka

Nature of the Job

Selected candidates will be responsible for:

• Monitoring daily production to ensure GMP and hygiene standards are followed
• Checking raw materials, processing, and finished products according to specifications
• Recording and maintaining quality control documents and reports
• Performing routine inspections and sampling for laboratory testing
• Monitoring CCP/OPRP points and reporting deviations immediately
• Ensuring proper cleaning and sanitation practices are maintained
• Assisting in handling non-conforming products and corrective actions
• Supporting internal audits, customer audits, and certification requirements
• Working closely with Production, Maintenance, and QA teams to maintain product quality
• Reporting quality issues to supervisors and following up on corrective actions

Requirements

Applicants should possess:

• G.C.E A/L in Science or Biotechnology stream
• Fresh graduates or candidates with related qualifications in Food Science are encouraged to apply
• Sound computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Minimum one year experience in a similar capacity is preferred
• Priority will be given to male candidates
