Payroll Officer Job Responsibilities

Main Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee payroll operations within the organization
• Maintain accurate payroll records and reports
• Ensure timely salary processing and payroll compliance
• Handle payroll calculations, spreadsheets, and reporting analysis
• Work with attendance and payroll management systems
• Ensure confidentiality of payroll and employee information
• Support payroll-related administrative functions

Qualifications & Requirements

Experience

• Minimum 3–4 years of experience in a similar payroll role
• Experience in manufacturing organizations is preferred

Educational Qualifications

• Passed G.C.E. O/L and A/L
• Completed an HRM Certificate level course from a recognized university or institute

Technical Skills

Candidates should have:

• Knowledge of payroll practices, procedures, operations, and legislation
• Experience using:
  • Spreadsheets
  • Formulas
  • Report extraction and summary analysis
• Strong MS Office knowledge
• Familiarity with sophisticated attendance and payroll management systems

Soft Skills
