Key Responsibilities

Mechanical Technician Responsibilities

• Inspect and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical components accurately.
• Support maintenance and repair of production machinery and systems.
• Assist with mechanical servicing and operational maintenance tasks.
• Ensure smooth functioning of manufacturing equipment.
• Support preventive maintenance and operational efficiency activities.

Electrical Technician Responsibilities

• Handle electrical maintenance and troubleshooting activities.
• Support PLC control system operations and maintenance.
• Maintain and repair electrical panel systems.
• Work with AC/DC power supply systems and related electrical equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints and electrical maintenance documentation.
• Support power generation and electrical system maintenance tasks.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Educational Qualifications

Candidates should possess:

• Relevant Certificate or Diploma from a vocational institution
  OR
• Completion of an apprenticeship in:
  • Mechanical
  • Electrical
  • Or related technical fields

Mechanical Technician Requirements

• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems
• Ability to inspect and diagnose mechanical/electrical issues accurately
• Experience in:
  • Mechanical maintenance
  • Electrical maintenance
  • Welding
  • Plumbing
    will be considered an added advantage.

Electrical Technician Requirements

• Knowledge of:
  • PLC Control systems
  • Electrical panel systems
  • AC/DC power supplies
  • Electrical systems and power generation
• Knowledge of maintenance and repair procedures
• Ability to interpret electrical blueprints and technical documentation

Additional Requirements

• Preferred age: 25–45 years
• Ability to build effective working relationships within a team environment
• Residence close to Biyagama will be considered an added advantage
