Job Role
The Stores In Charge will be responsible for managing hospital inventory operations and ensuring efficient stock control processes within the organization.
Key Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Overseeing daily operations of General Stores and Medical Stores
- Maintaining accurate stock records including receipts, issues, transfers, and balances
- Monitoring stock levels and coordinating timely replenishment of medical and general supplies
- Ensuring proper storage, handling, and organization of inventory according to hospital standards
- Conducting regular stock checks and inventory audits
- Coordinating with departments to ensure uninterrupted supply availability
- Preparing inventory and operational reports for management
- Ensuring compliance with hospital policies, safety procedures, and inventory control standards
Requirements
Applicants should possess:
- Diploma or equivalent qualification in Stores Management, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role
- Previous experience in stores or inventory management, preferably within a hospital or healthcare environment
- Good knowledge of inventory control systems and record-keeping procedures
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Proficiency in MS Office and inventory management systems will be an added advantage
- Candidates with Pharmaceutical Sciences qualifications or experience will receive added preference
