📖 Job Description
The Network Administrator will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the organization’s network infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability. The role includes managing LAN/WAN systems, troubleshooting issues, and supporting IT operations.
🎯 Requirements
🎓 Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Networking or Higher Diploma in Network Administration (or related field)
🧑💼 Experience
- Minimum 2–4 years experience in network administration or similar role
🛠️ Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, and firewall management
- Hands-on experience with FortiGate firewalls (mandatory) 🔥
- Experience with Windows Server environments
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools
- Knowledge of virtualization platforms (added advantage)
📜 Certifications (Added Advantage)
- CCNA / CCNP / MCSA
🧠 Soft Skills
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail
- Ability to mentor junior IT staff
🧾 Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN infrastructure
- Install and configure network devices (routers, switches, firewalls, access points)
- Monitor network performance and ensure system uptime ⚡
- Configure VLANs, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), and segmentation
- Manage network security policies and VPN connections 🔐
- Handle DHCP, DNS, and other network services
- Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis
- Manage ISP links, failover, load balancing, and bandwidth optimization
- Maintain documentation, diagrams, and backups
- Ensure disaster recovery readiness
